In addition to displays of quilts and other fabric arts, events include a Silent Auction, a Yard Sale, and an Antique Tractor and Vehicle display. There will also be pies and other baked items for sale and hamburgers/hot dogs available for lunch.

In 2008 the Buckeye School was placed on the National and Colorado Registers of Historic Places. Thanks to a series of grants from Colorado State Historical Fund, fundraisers like the Quilt Show, funds from the Buckeye Community Club and Questers groups, and untold volunteer hours, Buckeye School now has a wheelchair-accessible ramp (2010), a new roof and rain gutters (2013), a wheelchair-accessible outdoor restroom (2014), a fresh coat of paint (2019), electrical wiring updates, plus new concrete steps to the south c;assroom doors (2020). The upper Classroom flooring was restored to its original “hardwood” finish in 2023 through a grant from Cache la Poudre and Marie Lafitte chapters of Questers.  Fencing was added around the south to enclose the playground, including a swing set and restored Teeter-Totters, shade trees, and picnic tables for lovely summer potlucks. The Community Club secured a grant from History Colorado in 2023 to repair windows and screens on the school building.
